Shadow babysits -one shot-

Shadow sighed as he knocked on the door of the Sonic gang. Sonic opened the door and says," Hey, Shadow! Thanks for taking care of Cream, Charmy, and Mikey!" "-_- Why'd I decide to do this anyways?" Shadow asked, mainly to himself. Sonic, not listening, says," Kids have dinner at 6:00, baths at 7:00, arts and crafts at 8:00 and bed time at 9:00. We should be back by 10:00." "Where are you guys going anyways?" asked Shadow, not really interested. "Me and Tails are going to try to get an emerald, Amy and Vanilla are going shopping, Vector and Espio have a case that they don't want to bring Charmy and Mikey along, and Megan and Knuckles have a date," answered Sonic. Cream, Charmy, and Mikey came running downstairs and say happily," hi, Shadow!" Shadow rolled his eyes and as soon as Sonic left, Shadow turned to the poor kids and says bluntly," Bed." "But it's only 5:30!" protests Charmy. "And we haven't eaten yet!" Mikey says. "I SAID GO TO BED!" yelled Shadow. Cream started crying, not used to being yelled at. "God...if you don't stop crying and you misbehave the hounds of hell will get you!" shouted Shadow. The kids looked at him scared. "Shadow, can you at least read us a bedtime story before we go to bed?" asked Mikey. "-_-* what'd did I say about the hounds of hell?" Shadow says, annoyed." "o_o they're going to get me..." Mikey says quietly.

The kids sat in the room they were sharing quietly. "Mr. Shadow's very mean..." Cream says, quietly. "I know! He's such a jerk!" Mikeys yells, angrilly. "Yeah! He thinks he can boss us around since he's babysitting us!" Charmy yells also. "HOUNDS OF HELL!" they heard Shadow shout from downstairs, signaling that he can hear them. They began whispering. "Shadow deserves to get a taste of his own medicine!" whispered Charmy. Cream nodded agreeing with him. "...> and I think I may know how," Mikey whispered.

The kids walked downstairs quietly and walk to the kitchen where they will make their first attempt to get their revenge on Shadow. Soon they left and walked to Shadow in the tv room who was sitting on the couch watching tv. He growled when they stepped inbetween him and the tv and asked," Didn't I say for you to go to bed? The hounds of hell are going to get you then." "But, Shadow..." Cream starts. Then they all whined at the same time," We're hungry!" He growls and looks at the clock to see it was 6:00. "Fine," he mumbled, getting up. As he walked into the kitchen, the 3 kids smirked at each other. Shadow, not noticing a roller skate on the floor nears the fridge, steps on it and falls backwards onto a skateboard which moves backwards quickly, making Shadow hit his head against the counter. His eyes widened as he saw the knives fall down the counter. He closed his eyes shut but Mikey used his powers to make sure they only land around him. Shadow opened his eyes, realizing he was still alive and stood up, staring down at the knives with a nervous look "That...was just a coincidence...," thought Shadow. The kids laughed quietly, seeing Shadow walk nervously past the knives.

Soon, Shadow was done making dinner for the kids and sat down on the couch when they started eating. The kids quickly finished their food and snuck to the bathroom, where Shadow's next deathtrap is. The kids walked back down to Shadow and he growled again as the tv was blocked from his sight. "WHAT?" asked Shadow, clearly annoyed. "We need to take our bath!" they all said. "Well go!" he shouted. "We don't know how to start it," Cream answered. Shadow sighed and walked to the bathroom. He opened the door only to be splashed by a bucket on water on the door. His eyes stung because there was soap in it. He stepped back and fell out of the window behind him, still blinded. Just as he was about to fall off the roof, he grabbed onto the edge. Shadow was stuck. His eyes were blinded and he was hanging from the roof. Cream and Charmy flew out and helped him back into the house. "Looked like Sonic left a little surprise for you, huh?" Charmy asked, trying to keep from laughing since this was his idea. Shadow growled as he was bent over the sink, trying to wash the soap out of his eyes. He tried up his face and glared the mirror as he mumbled, angrilly," Damn hedgehog..." He helped them turn on their showers as they each took turns taking a bath. While thinking, Shadow realized that the kids seemed to be acting kind of suspicious. They couldn't be the ones playing these mean pranks on him...could they?

It was Cream's turn now. After they had changed into some clean clothes, it was 8:00. Time for arts and crafts. The kids headed to the next room, preparing for the almost last attack on Shadow. "SHADOW!" they shouted. Shadow groaned as he got up and started walking to the room they were in. "What do you-huh?" Shadow was interrupted as he stepped on a string and suddenly a box fell down on paint tubes which were aimed at him and then splattered paint all over Shadow from the pressure they were getting from the box that landed on them, leaving him a brightly colored rainbow mess. He saw the kids laughing and quickly left to wash himself, which took a long time. He looked and saw it was 9:00. He knew they would be in their room. He stormed into the bedroom where he saw the kids laughing on one of their beds. "THAT IS IT! I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU BRATS! YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN PULLING ALL THESE PRANKS! I AM SICK AND TIRED OF IT! NOW SOMETHING MUCH WORSE THAN THE HOUNDS OF HELL IS GOING TO GET YOU! IT WILL BE ME!" Shadow shouted, pissed off more than ever. "Oh really?" they all said with a smirk. Suddenly they pulled out pillows. Shadow's eyes widened and his ears drooped down," uh oh..." They began hitting Shadow with them who was trying to get away from the children.

Shadow was surprised to be waken up by Sonic. "I swear! The kids just ganged up on me and-" Shadow started. Sonic, thinking he just had a dream, says," Shadow, calm down. You can go home." "Huh?" Shadow asked, confused. The kids walked downstairs yawning and smiled as they saw Sonic. "Oh crap I'm in trouble," thought Shadow. "Sonic! Shadow took such great care of us!" Mikey said, happily. "We were having a lot of fun playing with him today!" Charmy said, as hyper as ever. "And even read us a bedtime story!" Cream said, just as happy as the boys. "Huh...?" Shadow thought. "Well, Shadow, seems like you did a great job with the kids," Sonic said, smiling. Shadow looked at the kids and had a very small smile which soon went away as they asked, happily," Can he babysit us next weekend?!" Shadow's eyes widened as he shouted," NOO!" Shadow crashed through the door, leaving a hole shaped like him, and ran like the hounds of hell were going to get him. As Sonic looked at where Shadow once stood, the kids all laughed and highfived each other.
